Backslash in questions removed on save

When using LaTeX in a question, e.g., when writing $$\{u, v\}$$, then saving removes the "\", which hides the "{ }" when rendered. Adding a double backslash "\\" works in the sense that one backslash is removed and one stays but saving once more again removes the backslash.
